1. Information We Collect

Haven collects limited information necessary for its operation, moderation functionality, and feature support. This includes:

• Server Information: Server IDs where Haven is a member, used for configuration settings and executing commands within specific servers.
• User Information: User IDs associated with command usage, moderation actions (e.g., kicks, bans, warnings), and features requiring user identification (e.g., leaderboards, AFK status).
• Command Usage Data: Information about which commands are used and how frequently, to help us understand bot usage patterns and improve commands or features.
• Message Content: Certain features require temporary or persistent storage of message content in an encrypted format:
  • Anonymous Confessions: Confession content is encrypted and stored to enable moderation review.
  • Reminders: Reminder content is encrypted and stored until the reminder is delivered, after which it is deleted.
  • AFK Reasons: Stored in encrypted format and deleted once the user is no longer AFK.
  • Temporary Bans and Other Features: Content like ban reasons may be encrypted and stored, and removed after the ban expires.

2. How We Use Information

The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate Haven's features and services.
• To maintain moderation logs and enforce auto-moderation rules as configured by server administrators.
• To improve Haven's functionality, performance, and features.
• To troubleshoot technical issues when commands or features do not work as expected.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your non-personal information to third parties.

3. Data Retention

We retain collected information only as long as necessary to provide Haven’s features, ensure functionality, and support legitimate moderation purposes. For example, we may maintain internal logs for certain features, such as anonymous confession submissions or AFK statuses. This allows us to ensure the content you submit to Haven (through a modal or command) is not inappropriate or violates our Terms of Service.

Information associated with Haven's features, such as reminders, AFK statuses, or temporary bans, is automatically deleted once it is no longer needed for its intended function. All stored content is encrypted and access is restricted to necessary processes only.

Logs related to command usage and user activity (such as when and how features are used) are stored for 14 days for diagnostic, performance, and abuse prevention purposes. These logs are automatically deleted after that period.

We respect user privacy and will delete any stored information about a user upon request. Please contact us via our official support server to request data removal.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected by Haven from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

Haven may interact with the Discord API to function. Your use of Discord is subject to Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Haven is a bot intended for use on the Discord platform, which requires users to be at least 13 years old (or older, depending on jurisdiction). Haven does not knowingly collect any information from individuals under the age of 13. If we become aware that Haven has processed or stored information from a user under the age of 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information promptly.

By using Haven, you affirm that you meet Discord’s minimum age requirements.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
